In a way - yes. If you have a specific budget you do not wish to exceed - state it at the beginning of your inquiry. Having that information we can advise what can be done within your price range. The main factors affecting the price are size, style and placement of the tattoo. Please be aware that this does not mean the prices are negotiable - they are not. If you have a specific aspects of the design - we will get back to you with a specific price estimate; if you have a specific budget - we will inform you what design range is available within it.

If you still wish to haggle - there is always someone else who will make it cheaper.

2. Can you do it more like this -> (photo of another tattoo)

Unless it’s a photo of a work done by the artist you are working with - the answer is no. We do not copy tattoos, we do not encourage basing your inquiries on photos of another tattoos and we do not use other tattoo artist’s work for reference. If you are using photos of tattoos to support your idea - be aware they will be considered only to determine general style and objects they present.

If you would like the tattoo to look like something done by another artist - please schedule an appointment with that artist instead.

3. Will it hurt?

Pain is subjective and relevant to placement of the tattoo, personal tolerance and anatomy. Every person will react differently to use of different needles and techniques in relation to tattooed places on the body. Even if you already have tattoos, it can be a totally different experience when you get a new one someplace new.

Generally, ribs area, neck and genitals are considered to be most painful when being tattooed.

4. Can I see the project before the session

No.

Design preparation is part of the tattoo session and takes place in the studio on the day of the appointment. The artist makes the project and in considering your anatomy and after confirming all of it’s aspects with you. Should any changes be necessary they are applied directly in your presence.

5. Can you make it smaller?

The artist prepares the design according to your specifications. If size is one of them it will be taken into account, but it needs to be stated during the inquiry. Not everything is possible in the size you wish for and within the scope of every artist. Tattoos are permanent and change over the years. If we tell you your idea is not feasible in specified size - it means it will not look good over time.

The size of the design is affected by art style, placement of the tattoo and number of details. The artist has to consider all of those aspects many more when preparing the composition and will present you with the best possible result. They are open to work with you on applying changes to the design, but significant overall size reduction is usually not one of them.

6. Why do I need to pay a deposit?

Waiting times may be long and unless there is a deposit paid the date will be made available for other customers. The deposit is to secure your appointment - once it‘s booked the date is reserved in the calendar and will not be available for others.

It is also a way to ensure you are committed to showing up for your appointment. Should you not come or postpone the session less than 7 days before, we may have a problem scheduling another customer in your place. In this case the deposit expires and a new one will be required if you want to book another appointment. This will also happen if you fail to communicate your expectations when scheduling the appointment or want to change the design idea to one outside the scope of your assigned artist.

7. Can I use a numbing cream?

Not unless consulted, allowed and applied in the presence of the artist you will be working with.

There are many different numbing creams varying in effectiveness and side effects. Unsupervised use may affect the tattooing and healing processes or even prevent the use of stencil. Furthermore, after the cream stops working you will feel the pain much more, which may make you unable to finish the session.

8. Do I need to prepare for the session?

Yes.

You need to be well rested, have something to eat, plan meals in case of full day sessions. You cannot be hungover or suffer from any afflictions caused by use of alcohol or any other substances. Tattooed skin cannot be tanned, wounded or infected. Couple days before the appointment you can use natural skin lotion or body butter on the body part that will be tattooed, to improve skin condition.

9. Differences between fresh and healed tattoos

As your body is a living organism and skin is one of it’s organs it will react over time to the injection of ink. Each organism is different and so will be the healing process over the days, weeks, months, even years. During the tattooing the ink is injected under the skin, which becomes irritated and reddened. Until healed, the ink is also visible in the upper parts of the skin. That’s why initially blacks are bold, shadows dark and colours vivid and then all fade over time. Most significant changes can be observed in case of greywash shading, which appears much darker at first. Small details and lines are affected differently, especially over the span of several years - as the pigment dissolves and flows under the skin, marks made too intricate become less crisp and much bolder, which can affect the composition.
